When I first moved in the bathroom on the 2nd floor was definitely "un-master" like. The bathroom was so small, that If you bent over the sink to brush your teeth, your butt would hit the door knob.

I wanted the bathroom to be mostly white with a soothing splash of grey and a little bling.

This was the floor tile.

This would be the accent tile.

This would keep me from slipping in the shower.

The radiant heating went in and we were ready for tile.

The shower went in first.

followed by the main floor tile...

Too big for me!

Nick is a real tile whisperer and he took on this monster job.

Raul did the grout.

And there was lots of scrubbing of grout by all.

The clean box, ready for adornment.

Once the tile was in... there would be amazing trackless shower doors that slide like "buttah", a beautiful marble vanity, a steel medicine chest and my beloved slipper tub — before it all was complete.

On the left hand side you can see an additional valve. This was Chris's idea to add, so that I can turn the water on from the outside and never get into a cold shower. Pure Genius!

The drain was a big challenge to cut, but it turned out perfectly.

The tub that started it all...

The entire renovation was built around how and where I would place this tub.

The fixtures are a work of art

And as such are exposed for all to see.

Natural light

A window with reed glass provides natural light from the windows on the front of the house through the sitting room and into the bath.

I count my blessing every night as I soak in my tub and I am also thankful, this part of the remodel is behind me.
